October has been a busy month for all the partners of INNPAPER. We are getting the first results on how the different items of our electronic platform fit together, starting with the setup of our pilot assembly line (congratulations to our partners at Ynvisible, who have just opened a new printing line in Almada, Portugal), and we have begun the design of the use-cases: the smart-label, the THC and caffeine detection devices and the paper-based diagnostics . These are all great news, but today we wanted to tell you about the different industrial fairs and events that we are attending.
This past week, we have been at Scanpack in Gothenburg presenting our project. It is one of the biggest packaging events in Europe, with more than 17,000 attendees and over 450 exhibitors from 30 countries. Our partners of Skanem were there, explaining everything about our smart-label use case.

Just this week, you can find us on the INDustrial TECHnologies 2018. If you are there this Thursday and Wednesday, go to booth 16, of the EPPN-Pilot Network. The European Network for Pilot Production Facilities and Innovation Hubs have granted us a spot at the booth, so if you have any questions regarding our project, specially our incoming pilot assembly line, drop by and ask about us!
Despite this intense activity, we are not stopping! Mark these days in your calendar:
- November 7th: [aVnir] Conference in Lille, France. If you have any questions about the recyclability and reusability of our system, talk to our partners at Vertech. They will be attending the event and are in charge of conducting the environmental Life Cycle analysis of our project.
- November 12: MEDICA exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany. Are you curious about the immunosensors that INNPAPER will integrate in paper? CORIS bioconcept will be exhibiting at the event, so you can ask them directly! Look out for their booth at hall 3a!
- November 14: we are crossing the ocean to go to IDTechEx in Santa Clara, USA. Our partners at Guarro Casas will be delivering a 20-minute talk about printed sensors on paper for smart packaging. The details are: Santa Clara Convention Center, CA, USA Grand Ballroom F 15 November 2018 12:00 – 12:20.
